Q. Is this spiritual Truth now being taught? To whom? If not now, when will it be taught? When will it be lived by a majority of humans on Earth? Thank you for all sincere answers ! Peace and progress in Spirit and in Truth ! This spiritual Truth must elevate the dignity and sacredness of each and every human being and state the relationship of God to each and to all humans.

A. The most needed spiritual truth at this time is that we are all brothers and sisters. We all look to Adam and Eve as our common ancestors, and God the Father as the creator of our spirits. We need to follow all the Holy Prophets in showing love and compassion for one another.

Is the typical truth verification process used by Christians an ineffective way to arrive at the truth?
Q. I mean, their truth verification process is not based on observable evidence; it s based on just hoping something is true; it s based on emotion, right?

A. 1. Christ is the Truth, meaning that he is the perfect embodiment of all truth. "I am the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6; Ether 4:12); "I am the Spirit of truth." (D. & C. 93:26.) He is the champion of truth, the revealer of truth, the advocate of truth. His word is truth and all his works conform thereto. "He is full of grace and truth" (2 Ne. 2:6; John 1:11, 17; D. & C. 93:11), and he came into the world to "bear witness unto the truth." (John 18:37.) 2. To Pilate's query, "What is truth?" (John 18:38), there is no recorded answer. But explicit scriptural definitions are found elsewhere. Truth is an attribute of Deity, of the "Lord God of truth." (Ps. 31:5.) He is "longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth" (Ex. 34:6 [cont.]

Any truth to planning the sex of your baby?
Q. I keep reading everywhere that you can plan having a boy or girl by the day you conceive in your ovulation cycle. I've heard if you have sex a couple days before you ovulate, you are more likely to have a girl because the "female sperm" is slower. Has anyone tried this and been successful with planning for a boy or girl? Just wondering if there is any real truth to this. Thank you!
Asked by Delia - Sat Mar 21 19:23:35 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. This book worked for my wife and me 2X; first we wanted a girl, so we had sex a couple of days before ovulation. Female-carrying sperm are supposedly slower, but they have a longer life cycle, and so they remmain active longer. Deposit the sperm before ovulation. When ovulation hit...Boom, we had a girl! Second time, we wanted a boy, had sex when she knew she was already ovulating. Male carrying sperm supposedly swim faster, but all that exertion makes them less hardy. So... Boom, we had a boy. I think that the same principle is used to separate male sperm from female sperm. The semen is spun in the centerfuge, separating the sperm by size. Boy, I think I used the word sperm waaay too much in this answer. :) Have a fun time!

How to assess the truth of the reasons as below argument?
Q. (Assess the truth of the reasons. Think about how you would seek further information to enable you to assess the truth of reasons. ) We should protect the endangered species. Why? there are a host of possible answers: because other creatures have a basic right in themselves to be treated as equally valuable expressions of evolution as we humans; because our own self-interest may depend on some future use we come to make of these species or the habitats on which they depend; because we have no right to deprive future generations of their enjoyment or use of these creatures. But more important than all these is the fact that we owe it to ourselves, right here now, to fulfill our obligation to act as stewards of the heaving and mysterious… [cont.]

A. The answer you're looking for will be based on a truth which is not absolute, as any truth you will find in this world will be given in by an opinion or a belief from you or others. There may be an answer that appeals to most and this then becomes a "moral" truth (in this example anyway).

Q. I've always heard of these people who make a ton of money through online games Second Life and others. Has anyone ever heard any truth to these and if so what games were they connected to?
Asked by Joshua B - Sat Feb 27 04:16:48 2010 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It's true. I know some folks in Second Life that are making a lot of real life money in the game, but for these people it's more than just a game. They have their own business set up in Second Life and they treat it like a job. They also put in a lot of time and money keeping up the business. If you're serious about making money you can do it, but just realize that it isn't as easy as snapping your fingers and the cash rolls in. It requires a lot of knowledge about content creation or ingame real estate and you need to spend the hours supporting your business just like you would spend time at your real life job.

A. I'm not sure what you mean by arguments. Arguments in the logical sense are premises that lead to a conclusion. This type of argument is necessary for finding truth. However, if by arguments you mean meer squabbling than arguments have little if no value at all. Truth is always of the utmost importance. Mankind, in my humble opinion, is doing a pretty good job at trying to decipher it. Truth can be found and it isn't relative. One must first know a) where to look and b) how to go about looking.

A. Can deception be acknowledged? Of course. But that's not knowledge, it's not truth either; it's just part of the process. It's called cognition. It's like saying: You're getting there, but you're not quite there yet. You're right though, it's more complicated than that... Good luck!

A. You can approximate better than most people who make no effort. The value of truth is that it lets you assign probabilities to the location of obstacles and to the effect of conflict with them. It's not that reliable for predicting the future, but works better than pure hope.

Asked by Tootie Grey - Fri Sep 12 14:54:11 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It's not okay for a number of reasons: -With information so easily accessible there will always be someone who finds out the exact truth (whether it is stats, voting history or anything like that) -We need to know our candidates can be trusted and that the ends don't justify the means in many situations. -Those in public office in the United States are supposed to have run for their positions to represent the people (we are a government "of the people, by the people, for the people"). If you are going to be representing someone it is immoral to lie to them. It's also kind of strange since they are still supposed to be one of "the people." Asked by Katy Girl - Wed Dec 17 10:27:14 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. First off, be sure to relate it to your own personal life. And what you think of forever. For me though, it made me realize that I won't be in this world for forever. I am not infinite and I am not perfect, nor will I ever be. I found it very easy to relate to Macy, as went through a change over the summer, and could empathize with her situation. She was so fearful of life, of making the wrong decision, of not being good enough for everyone else that she forgot to stop and be happy every so often. Instead, she would put on a charade and make everyone believe she was "fine, just fine." This makes me realize that people will not assume anything of me. If I tell them I am fine, then that is all they will know, and I cannot hope for them to… [cont.]

A. 1. Recruiters often lie. Make sure you get everything in writing and read and understand and think about every word in any contract you sign with them. Make sure you have all of the information cleared up beforehand and ask several different recruiters, maybe even at different recruiting stations, to see if there is any funny business going on. Just to be safe. 2. The main benefits are the housing allowance and maybe the medical stuff in my opinion. School money is also mildly helpful. And future jobs like to see military experience - means you're disciplined and dedicated. 3. Active duty Marines in general have a 54% chance of being deployed once and a significantly lower chance of being deployed twice, and still lower for being… [cont.]
