A. It may help to answer questions about social and individual values and how one responds in their environment to issues which require an action or response which include those values. An example might be the question of immigration and how you as an individual feels about immigrants.

A. You need to look at both sides of the question. The pros and the cons and then come up with a conclusion based on which side had the best arguments.

A. If this is an analysis of famous works, then maybe create your own owrk by taking the piece and in photoshop cut odly shaped sections out to create waht the art means to you. When you give your presentation youcan explain why you chose those objects. Some art makes you feel a certain way, so take that art and rearrange it to show how you feel. Anger, sadness, peaceful, happiness, heartwarming. How would you show that? Anger can be almost like frustration so possibly just different angels going in all directions overlapping each other. Heartwarming can be made into a mother holding her child or a couple walking hand in hand. Sadness could be a person standing over a tombstone with flowers in hand. When writing a Critical Analysis, can you use multiple sources?
Q. I am writing a Critical Analysis(C.A) for an assignment in English class. Not quite sure how to write one but I believe it critiques the writer's thesis and their supporting evidence? My C.A is over the " Warren Commission report" assassination of JFK. C.A's do not have a bibliography. So when I write it I must only use cites inside the source I am writing it about?? If I don't believe this report can I somehow use other sources to prove my reasoning?? Any helpful hints would be nice.
Asked by 4U2NV - Thu Oct 16 13:32:16 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. No, you can't really cite other sources for a Critical Analysis. You're analyzing the particular report, the quality of it, and the value of the information within it...it's YOUR analysis, and meant to be drawn from your own ideas and opinions. You can mention that other sources back up your reasoning, but you don't generally cite other works in your Critical Analysis.

Can anyone help on a critical analysis presentation?
Q. I have to do a critical analysis of a newspaper story that has been in both the broadsheets and tabloids and then do a presentation on this critical analysis. I have chosen to do the Jade Goody story. I have never done a presentation before so not sure what it involves and the whole critical analysis thing, alongside it, is stopping my 'creative flow' as it were. This is due in on the 1st may and for weeks I have been trying to get going on it! Please help! thank you
Asked by Lou - Tue Apr 21 10:47:43 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments
A. analyse the way in which the story has been reported - the tabloids exaggerate and glamorise, the broadsheets tend to be more factually based. don't forget to work Michael Parkinson's very appropriate comments somewhere into your analysis - he basically summed it up - ignorant essex girl blown to fame on silly reality programme and then exploited by the press (and her "husband")

A. As long as you can back it up, you can say anything about how it makes you feel. Personally, I would expound upon the dog being preyed upon, and I would mention the fact that shelter seems to be just out of reach..maybe helplessness? Fate turning on you? Feeling unsafe? Irony? The purple in the house is paired with its complement (not compliment) yellow to make the dog "pop". The yellow could symbolize cowardice. The orange of the eagle makes it a bit aggressive. Depth is created in the picture by the overlapping branches. The branches seems to be a tangle. To me it seems a bit dark and gives a feeling of being just out of reach of safety. But all art is subjective:) It might help to do some research on the artist and asess their state… [cont.]

What are your thoughts on the Oparin biogenesis theory? Provide a critical analysis if desire?
Q. Basically it states that star material landed on earth and provided the necessary elements to form coacervates. UV radiation provided energy for these elements to bind and form coacervates. A critical analysis for poetry?
Q. I have to write a critical analysis for a poem called "maggie and milly and molly and may" by e.e. cummings and i have no idea how to do it. I have like no idea! I need some help maybe a website that can help. I am at school.. so i cant search much things and many things are blocked so it has to be like something that wouldnt be considered CHEATING! Or if you have ideas of your own! Either or please just help!
Asked by Gaby - Thu May 1 13:17:36 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You want to answer quetions with your analysis. Since you do not know a huge number of other poems, you need to skip comparing and contrasting this with other poems, poets, periods of poetry. So you need to do what is called close analysis. Look at the choice of structure, words, rhyme and rhythm in the poem. What images and sounds does he use? Is it a different experience out loud than reading to yourself? Is the poem a story, an image, an emotion? Why is it a poem, and not a prose paragraph? If you answer some of those questions, you'll have a nice analysis.

A. have a look at website youwriteon.com you get some work to review, and for every review you submit a piece of your work will be reviewed. it works well for short stories but there is a problem with longer pieces in that it may be difficult for people to review a "middle piece" but well worth a look. you can PAY for reviews - have a look at cornerstones website and if all else fails I could always swop pices with you. The key problem I have found is that criticism of poetry can be done reasonably well (esp by other poets); short stories can be analysed but long pieces are very difficult. Its an area i would be happy to discuss
